Join the Bristol Light Project and craft your own Persistence of Vision lights for your bike wheels. The device is a single row of flashing LEDs that creates the illusion of (moving) images when the wheel spins. The lights we make will be programmable with any pattern of your own creation!

Book your place now. The earlier you book the easier it is for us to prepare. Choose your preferred colour or go all out and go for the RGB version that can display any colour under the sun. Pre-order additional kits to make at home. All proceeds go to the Bristol Bike Project.

No previous experience necessary as able technicians will be on hand to help and instruct you. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

'A fully immersive cinematic treat'

The power grids have been knocked out all over the city,

It is cold, it is dark, it is underground, it is silent.

The city of Metropolis appears on screen with an opening montage of a gigantic machine that beats the heart of the massive city, all parts thrusting, moving, pounding and turning - eight bicycles that operate in the realm of light, take control of the legs, arms and bodies, that move on them.

The electricity for the screening will be produced by the cyclists – you, the audience - with music from Georgy 11811

Metropolis a throbbing, dystopian uber-city, where a decadent aristocracy thrives on the sweat of the labouring hoards underground, where human forces are driven to exploit each other and live in perpetual anxiety. A dark fairy tale that pits man against machine, the head against the heart, and the good Human Maria against the bad Robot Maria.

Bring warm clothes and blankets. Expect rum hot chocolates, hot toddies and roasted chestnuts from the brazier in the garden

in July 2010 fed up of traveling on congested roads in hot vans this like minded group of musicians took to the roads, combining two passions, music and cycling, they toured the South West by bicycle carrying all their own equipment including a drum kit, double bass, amplifiers and tents.

The Bike Bloc came to play with us in our new home.
It was loads of fun, we all had fun!They had a good look at our bicycles and rode them round and round, falling over handlebars, crashing into walls, squeeling and skidding around, screaming and laughing, IT WAS GREAT TO SEE !

They emerged from the Labofii Pod, they are a swarm now, looking magnificent !!!

And look they made a beautiful double double trouble tallbike maybe the first of many !
We made some good friends and we inspired each other, a good thing !
Fun was had between our legs and there is loads more fun to be had !
